| Benham large silk FDC 50th anniversary of Operation Overlord with silk illustration depicting Lord Lovat relieving the forces at Pegasus Bridge and special BFPO Pegasus Bridge postmark, dated 6th June 1994. This is a rare cover in itself, but combine this with the fact that it has been autographed by the late Major John Howard, who commanded the glider forces which initially captured Pegasus Bridge and Richard Todd, who parachuted in a few hours after to reinforce and hold the objective, this cover takes on added significance. Todd also played Howard in the movie "The Longest Day". A truly rare double signed FDC! |
