| Stunning full colour comemorative envelope, with scarce 85th anniversary of the launching of HMS Hood Postmark 22/08/2003 (BFPO 2752) signed by last living of only 3 survivors of the sinking of the Hood by the German battleship Bismarck in 1941, Signalman Ted Briggs, who has also provided the text for the insert, giving his thoughts on this wonderful cover which was produced by ourselves in conjunction with the HMS Hood Association. Also signed by cover artist Simon Atack and David Mearns, the man who located the wreck of the Hood in the acclaimed 2 part Channel 4 documentary (He also co-wrote the book) |
